This Summer, at the Spiral Movement Center, Gottlob and Oka will be holding a unique Fitness Yoga Course that will focus on the innovative techniques—such as internal flow patterning, learning reflexes and bodymind hierarchy–in order to help teachers create more effective and holistic yoga classes. In this course you will learn how to help your own students make significant progress in yoga class. These new internal awareness techniques help yogis approach yoga with unprecedented ease and precision.
Specifically the course will focus on: breathing & relaxation techniques, how to do the asanas correctly, how to design and teach effective classes, how to modify poses for various people, how to identify potentially injurious poses, how to perform and create your own salutations, and developing effective teaching communication skills. The majority of the course will be practical hands-on experiences.
Gottlob and Oka are founders of a somatic bodymind system, Spiral Praxis, and are platinum-level Ontario Fitness Council Trainers. Over the past 20 years, through Spiral Praxis, Gottlob and Oka, have helped all kinds of people including athletes, artists, yogis, children and people with special needs reach their full potential. This workshop will be 30 hours (20 in-class hours and 10 at-home hours). Some fitness or yoga background is recommended for this course. Space is limited so please e-mail or call to reserve a spot.
